Wedding Decor & Rentals in Nova Scotia

The right rentals and decor transform your venue into your dream wedding space. Nova Scotia wedding rental companies offer everything from basic tables, chairs, and linens to specialty items like ceremony arches, backdrops, lounge furniture, vintage bars, chandeliers, tent rentals, and decorative lighting. Whether your style is classic and elegant, modern, rustic, bohemian, or Maritime-chic, Nova Scotia rental companies can help you achieve the look you envision.

In Nova Scotia, rental costs vary widely based on your guest count and the items you choose. Most couples spend $800 to $4,000 on rentals. Basic chair and table rentals start around $400 for 100 guests, while specialty decor items like chiavari chairs, ceremony arches, lounge furniture, and tent rentals significantly increase the total. If your venue is a raw space with no included rentals (common for outdoor and barn weddings in the Annapolis Valley), budget on the higher end. Halifax and the South Shore have the largest selection of rental companies.

Popular Nova Scotia rental trends include acrylic and ghost chairs, geometric arches and altars, statement backdrops with greenery or florals, vintage rug aisles (popular for bohemian and barn weddings), neon signs, mix-and-match vintage table settings, and draped fabric installations. For rustic and countryside weddings in the Annapolis Valley and the South Shore, wood and natural decor is popular. Many rental companies also offer design consultation services to help coordinate colours, textures, and styles for a cohesive look.

When choosing a rental company, ask about delivery, setup, and pickup times and fees (some venues have strict loading dock times), what happens if items are damaged, whether setup is included or charged separately, and how far in advance you need to reserve. For destination weddings in Cape Breton or along the South Shore, confirm travel distance and road conditions. Popular Nova Scotia rental companies book 6 to 9 months in advance for peak season.
