Wedding Program Wording and Ideas

Programs help guests follow along. Include the order of events: processional, welcome, readings, vows, ring exchange, pronouncement, recessional. Include the names of the wedding party, parents, grandparents, bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girl, and ring bearer. Include the names of the readers and the title of the reading. Include a note about your unplugged ceremony: "We invite you to be fully present. Please turn off all phones and cameras." Include a note about memorials. Programs can be simple. One sheet folded in half. Use your wedding colors. Attach programs to a fan for outdoor weddings or tie them with a ribbon to a wooden stick. The most important information is the order of events and names of the wedding party.
